This project consist of the widening improvemnts and upgrade of existing intersections along the US 17 / Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, including a grade-separated interchange at Bowman Road. Project limits extend from the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge to the I-526 overpass in Mount Pleasant. Atlantic South provided administrative personnel and project inspectors for this project who answered directly to the Project manager and Project Engineer respectfully. The administrative personnel kept up with the daily administrative task for the project. The inspectors were responsible for highly technical and specialized inspections of the roadway and bridge construction in the areas of concrete, foundations, soils and earthwork, asphalt roadway, erosion control, traffic control and others. Their tasks include the inspection of concrete structures, structural foundations, earthwork and base core activities, hot mix asphalt activities, and Portland cement concrete pavement activities.
