Union Heights Water Main

Project Details
The project encompassed a comprehensive scope, which involved meticulous planning and execution. This included the meticulous identification of optimal locations for approximately 5200 feet of 8-inch and 6-inch water lines, as well as strategically positioned fire hydrants and related appurtenances. Additionally, the project entailed a rigorous evaluation of fire protection measures for the area, taking into account the precise placement of fire hydrants and ensuring sufficient water pressure for effective firefighting capabilities.
Furthermore, a critical aspect of the project involved exploring the potential to interconnect the system with the existing 24-inch water main on Meeting Street and the 16-inch water main on Spruill Ave. This strategic maneuver aimed to eliminate any dead-end lines, thereby optimizing the overall efficiency and reliability of the water distribution system.
The project's scope also included the intricate processes of designing detailed specifications, navigating the intricacies of permitting, meticulously managing the bidding process, and culminating in the meticulous documentation of all project activities at the closeout phase.
