Atlantic South Consulting Services provided support to Thomas and Hutton Engineers to design a storm drainage system for the Town of Folly Beach through the Charleston County Roadwise Program. The project involved the design and permitting of 300 feet of drainage system on Hudson Avenue to correct problem of standing water along the roadway. Portions of an existing storm drainage system had to be relocated in order to connect the proposed system to the existing drainage system. The project also involved environmental permitting through the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Office of Coastal and Resource Management, along with encroachment permitting through the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
